Who may sign

Clinical Establishments 2020 tiers, enforced. Technicians enter. They cannot release. The lab chooses which tiers it uses; the software prints the non-medical disclaimer when it must.

  • Tier 1: MD/DNB/DCP — signs and interprets
  • Tier 2: MBBS with a year in the lab — signs
  • Tier 3: M.Sc / Ph.D. in specialty — signs that specialty, no interpretation
  • Amendments are a new document that points at the last one

What the software will not do

It flags values against limits the lab configured. It does not interpret, score, screen, or write an “AI summary.” That line is what keeps it outside the Medical Devices Rules.

  • Critical-call gate with read-back
  • Restricted HIV results on a split report, never on WhatsApp or the B2B portal
  • PCPNDT-regulated tests blocked unless the lab is a registered Genetic Laboratory
  • Culture and sensitivity worksheets
